CREDAI to bring out safety manual in Kerala
Kerala real estate is growing and amid rising number of accident cases at construction sites and insufficient safety measures, the Kerala wing of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) is planning to bring out a safety manual for workers in the construction industry.
The developers’ body is to release the manual at Credai-Kerala’s first state conference, to be held in Kochi on September 8.
Currently, there are 1.5 million migrant labourers working in Kerala. But there is a shortage of skilled labour in the state and in order to meet this demand, the state government is planning to set up a Skill Development Academy.
