CREDAI to support MCC in fighting malaria
Taking a good initiative, Confederation of Real Estate and Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) has come forward to contribute its support to Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) against malaria.
CREDAI has agreed to provide vehicles fitted with GPS. Each vehicle with six personnel will visit construction sites and monitor it for conditions that allow mosquito larvae to breed there and inform the respective project developers to take corrective actions.
CREDAI has also come forward to develop in-house software that will enable it to monitor the visit of the teams to the construction sites and ensure they meet site supervisors, who is responsible for making the site mosquito breeding free zones.
MCC teams have inspected around 60 construction sites and cancelled licenses in three instances for violating guidelines, said Harish Kumar, Corporation commissioner.
