Crisis for drinking water in Guntur

The residents of Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) are facing severe drinking water problem.

People are depending on water tankers to get water supply in the apartments in Guntur.

Due to inadequate rainfall the ground water level has depleted. And as a result bore wells in many areas in the city failed to supply water.

The residents of many areas of Guntur are depending on the supply of water tanker for their daily needs.

At present, the GMC supplies 350 tankers a day to 70 colonies including 29 slums which are facing acute shortage of water.
