DDA calls for draw under Rohini Residential Scheme after 3 decades
Post waiting for more than three decades, the Delhi Development Authority or DDA has finally called for the draw of those who have registered for the plots in the Rohini Residential Scheme of 1981. The draw for all the remaining 744 applicants in the scheme will be organised on the 8th of August. The move has come post the registrants took to a series of protest and court cases against the housing authority. The housing authority has not been able to allot land or give it to industries and institutions.
A Delhi Development Authority official stated that they will be holding the draw for the allotment of plots for remainder of the registrants for the Rohini Residential Scheme on the 8th of August. The vice chairman of DDA, Balvinder Kumar has given the direction to continue the draw. The draw will be held in the headquarters of DDA at Vikas Sadan in South Delhi. The results of the draw will also be announced in the website www.dda.org.in as stated by an official. After the protests of the registered applicants finally the authority has taken the decision to enact, this has definitely acted as a sigh of relief for the 744 applicants.
