It was planned earlier to arrange meetings on every Tuesday of this month in different zones to collect suggestions from the residents of North, South, East, West and Central Delhi. In respect to this Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had held an open house on Tuesday, 9th of May 2012, to welcome suggestions from the Capital’s residents.

Large numbers of residents and RWA members were present on Tuesday and gave around 200 suggestions for the betterment of the city. The suggestions so obtained, will be studied by DDA’s advisory body and once approved, would be sent to Urban Development Ministry for amendment.

Allowing only residents to run shops from residential premises, underground parking system below parks and community centers, paid parking under flyovers, adequate no. of sewage treatment plants, covering open drains and building cycle tracks over them, replacing old flats with multi-storied flats- these and many more suggestions were placed on the discussion table.
