DDA to review online public hearing system
Samasya Nidaan Sewa is a new online system introduced by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for public hearing.
A meeting was held held to review the online system by DDA and a decision is expected to be taken in the next meeting which is scheduled in April.
Earlier, public hearing was allowed on every Monday and Thursday where people used to come and meet senior officials to register their complaints and requests.
However, the new online system will not allow public to enter the office premises, but instead counsellors are deputed to help people track their cases or grievances online.
For specific queries or complaints, people are given forms to write down issues and are then given a unique ID and password, which helps in tracking files online on the DDA website.
DDA is now gathering figures on the number of cases have been taken up online and is reviewing the whole system to address areas of concern.
The idea behind this new system is to have complete transparency in public dealing and bring accountability.
