DDA’s ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ officially launched on Sept 1
The much-awaited announcement of the official launch of the ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ offering from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) came on Monday, September 1, 2014, at the Authority’s Vikas Sadan headquarters; amid enthusiastic public response.
Announcing the new housing scheme, DDA said that more than 25,000 flats will be available to buyers across different categories.
The categories across which DDA will offer a total of 25,034 flats under its newly-launched ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ include EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG flats; as well as Janta flats and one-room apartments. The cost of these flats will range between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 1.2 crore.
Making the announcement that the ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ is now “officially open,” DDA Vice Chairman Balvinder Kumar said on Monday that 22,627 flats – out of the 25,034 total flats – being offered under the new scheme are one-bed room apartments. Kumar also said that, among the remaining flats, are “896 flats constructed after 2010, with green technology.”
Revealing that the ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ is open to all applicants from September 1, with the deadline for the submission of applications being October 9, Kumar said: “The draw of lots would preferably be taken out within 20 days of the close of the scheme.”
