Delay in opening of road
Miffed with the government‘s delay in opening the elevated road, local residents of Ajmer road on Sunday staged a protest and demanded that the road be opened by September 10, failing which they will start using road.
Under the banner of People Green Party, the protestors block the road near Civil Lines junction on Sunday morning. Local police had to struggle for a long time to appease the protestors.
Garav Sharma, a local resident and protester claimed that the road was completed eleven months ago after spending Rs 270 crore of the public money. Despite its completion, the local public is suffering as state government is not willing to inaugurate the project in absence of senior leaders.
The problem is being caused due to the rift between the residents of Ajmer and the government officials. Some people are holding protests against the opening of the road under the statement that they are people from the green party. All these have lined up into a lot of problems for the opening of the elevated road in Ajmer.
