Delays in flat delivery are increasing everyday
The flat buyers across the country have a perennial complaint that builders rarely provided apartments on time. Despite the assurances, promises and agreements that flat buyers have been facing a challenging task when the builders fail to deliver as has been promised.
The property market sources say that the delay in handing over possession is going on increasing. The purchasers who have invested their life savings in buying a home are finding it very difficult to deal with the powerful developers.
Moreover it is very rare that the builders pay interest to the buyers for delay. One solution to the problem can be that every police station in the urban areas should have a special cell for the cases that are about cheating and breach of trust. But the delay in dispensing justice is working in the favour of the law breakers.
In Mumbai there have been many cases of flat buyers participating in protest by forming groups and filling police complaints against the errant builders in the past one year. However nothing has made any difference to the problem. The problem of delayed flat deliveries has been increasing everyday and sometimes the delay caused is more than one month.
