Delhi Government sanction Rs 29.59 crore for medical college
The government in Delhi has recently given a sanction of amount of Rs 29.59 crore for the construction work of temporary pre fabricated structure with around 100 seats with the hope to establish a new Medical College attached with Dr Baba Sahed Ambedkar Hospital which is in Rohini.
This construction was necessary to enhance the infrastructure. Most of the medical colleges in our country lack proper infrastructure. The lack of infrastructure often leads to lack of basic instruments and other curriculum requirements. Around 100 seats will be built. This will help in the construction of a new college with attached with a present hospital. This move will help in increasing the number of seats for medical students so that more people get chance here to pursue the career.
The decision had been taken during a meeting with the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) which is under the Chairmanship of the chief secretary of S K Srivastava. The construction will help in facilitating the intake of around 100 students. This construction will also help in providing the needed infrastructural improvements for the addition of around 100 MBBS seats within a year in order to boost the medical education in Delhi.
