Delhi housing societies to go for higher FAR

1 Comment Sub Category:Delhi-NCR,Realty News,Residential Real Estate Posted On: Nov 06, 2012

Delhi’s skyline seemed to be changing soon. The cooperative housing societies in Delhi have shown keen interest in Delhi Development Authority (DDA)’s notification for higher floor area ratio (FAR) for existing group-housing societies.

Since the additional FAR can be availed only for new constructions, cooperative societies are exploring possibilities of knocking down old constructions.  The provision for higher FAR in cooperative societies is contained in the new Master Plan prepared by DDA.

As per the new provision, the FAR has been increased from 150 to 300 and it can only be availed by a group-housing society in case on new construction.

There are many cooperative housing societies in areas like Patparganj, Mayur Vihar, Rohini, Vasundhara Enclave, Dwarka, etc. in Delhi.
