Delhi/NCR: IHG inks deal with Sikka to open Crowne Plaza in Noida
Inter Continental Hotels Group (IHG) – one of the leading companies in global hospitality – has revealed in a recent statement that it has signed an agreement with realty developer Sikka, for opening a new hotel in Noida.
The hotel will be opened under the company’s Crowne Plaza brand; and will mark an addition to the IHG’s pipeline of Crowne Plaza properties in India.
The IHG Crowne Plaza brand hotel in Noida – the new Crowne Plaza Taj Expressway, Noida – will be a 150-room hotel, which will likely become operational in 2018. The hotel will be IHG’s second hotel in the city.
According to the details shared by IHG and Sikka, the new hotel in Noida will be a part of a mixed-use development, and will also comprise corporate offices as well as retail spaces.
With regard to the pack signed by Sikka with IHG for the Crowne Plaza brand hotel in Noida, Sikka Managing Director Gurneet Singh Sikka said that “Hospitality is an important business vertical of Sikka and we are working on strengthening this expertise;” and added: “IHG is an ideal partner for us as the company brings with it many years of international hotel management experience with leading global brands such as Crowne Plaza.”
