Demand for 1BHK apartment rises in North Bangalore

The trend has been that compared to other metros, the overall demand for 1BHK apartments in Bangalore are much lower. However, the recent trend shows that 1BHK apartments have gained importance in localities of North Bangalore, closer to the Devanahalli Airport.

North Bangalore is growing primarily on account of proximity to the International Airport in Devanahalli and has witnessed a rise in the demand for 1BHK apartments in the Apr-Jun quarter compared to the previous quarter. The demand for 1BHK apartments has gone up to 21 per cent in the Apr-Jun 2012 quarter from 5 per cent in the previous quarter.

According to experts, as more people are being recruited by the IT companies, these new settlers of Bangalore are increasingly looking to buy 1BHK apartments as their family size is small, thus pushing up the demand for the segment.
