Dengue cases rise in Bangalore
Alarming reports state that Bangalore has been in the grip of dengue over the last two months. More and more cases of dengue-like fever have been reported in the last few months from all over the city.
However, the health officials from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) continue to be in denial mode. Statistics say that positive cases in the city have increased from 373 on July 27 to 599 on October 5 and several deaths have been reported by private hospitals.
The rising incidence of dengue has been attributed to the fluctuating weather conditions and intermittent rains, which are conducive for the particular mosquitoes to thrive.
