PWD day said that they will not be allowing the residents to derail project with the congestion which has recently come on a rise.

Delhi government’s public works department says that it’s moving fast on the Rao Tula Ram flyover project and hopes to start construction of a parallel flyover by November. Though the residents of nearby areas have approached the Delhi high court in order to create objection to the project and raised a number of issues, the officials say that this time they will not be pressured by the locals as they were when the flyover was being built.

The nightmarish traffic situation on this stretch is because of another group of residents. This flyover is a public utility and its construction cannot be dictated by the whims of a few people. The flyover was originally planned as a two-lane, two-way flyover but due to pressure from residents who live on the main road and did not want their service road to be taken away, it was changed to a half flyover has recalled a PWD official.
