Dharuhera on way to become new residential destination
Dharuhera, a satellite town to Delhi, is the new residential destination in the belt.
Located 30 km from Gurgaon, Dharuhera has about 70 per cent buyers as end users in FY2013. The buyers are targeting the town due to price advantage and improving infrastructure.
A middle income family can get possession of a typical 2BHK, 1,200 sq ft apartment at a cost anywhere between Rs 35 and Rs 40 lakh. However, a similar flat at Gurgaon’s Sohna Road would be worth Rs 70-80 lakh.
Dharuhera is now well-connected to the expanding NH-8. The national highway is currently being widened to 8 lanes from the existing 6 lanes, improving connectivity.
Moreover, the proposed Bullet Train linking Alwar-Delhi-Panipat-Meerut from Dharuhera will also add to connectivity of the city. Following the spur in demand, prices have appreciated by more than 50 per cent in the last two years.
