DLF Q block residents under house arrest due to theft

1 Comment Sub Category:Gurgaon Posted On: Nov 29, 2012

theftGurgaon- In a shocking incident, all the residents of Q-2 lane in DLF City Phase 2 are  in a house arrest due to the constant thefts.  Despite the lane being used by various commuters to reach DLF Phase 3 and MG Road, there are no security guards at the main points.

However, a  guard who was employed there has disappeared as he feared the onslaught from the DLF maintenance agency and the residents. This has eventually resulted in a restricted movement by the residents due to a fear that they might be burgled.

Not just the adults, even children are women are being threatened. Since there are no strict norms, the residents are compelled to fend themselves.

Incidents like cancellation of birthday parties at restaurants are taken place. The vacant plots which are present  near the apartments are being used by the thieves to enter the apartment and that a gang  is presumed to be behind this ruckus. The  DLF management  is however planning to hold task force meetings to improve security every month. Measures like  installation of CCTV cameras and more security guards will be  imposed.
