DND remains toll free till February 22
The Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NTBCL) has decided that the Delhi Noida Direct (DND) flyover will be free from toll tax in order to prevent the long traffic jam in the peak hours till February 22. This is requested by the police so that long queues can be avoided.
After a meeting with the police department, the NTBCL took the final decision, that people moving towards the national capital from Noida are not liable to pay the toll tax in DND.
The timing for the toll to be free for Noida Delhi route is from 9 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 7 pm as declared by the NTBCL officials.
The DND flyover’s toll will be free for commercial vehicles although they have to pay MCD toll. According to one spokesperson, the toll from Delhi to Noida will be charged as usual and also added that it will be effective till February 22.
This new change took place due to the closure of Kalindi Kunj Yamuna Bridge from Noida to Delhi as the repair work is going on in the bridge since long time. The work is expected to be completed by February 22. The authorities diverted the traffic to DND flyover which led to long traffic jams in the Noida toll plaza and also in the city.
