
Assembly election is knocking the door and now BBMP has realised that they have to speed up the grand projects’ completion project. These projects include signal-free corridors, five grade separators, development of roads, lakes and construction of multi-storied parking facilities will be taken up.
BBMP options to help broaden 11 tracks, which include several with
Mahadevapura area, and two tracks each with Bommanahalli and RR Nagar areas. In addition to this, eighty tracks will be much better than earlier, but not widened. The total cost of the projects will be around Rs 1,663 crores. In spite of the plan to widen 11 roads, BBMP haven’t outfitted itself in controlling the actual controversial Transferable Development rights issue.
S Somashekar, BBMP chief engineer , said that they haven’t established a TDR bank, mainly because it seemed to be disputed and also rejected in the local authority or council. There is vacant property available on the suburb, and acquiring it through TDR is their plan.
