Expertise offered by Australia for urban development initiatives in India
According to reliable sources, Australia has recently offered India its technology, expertise and cooperation for its urban development planning. Patrick Suckling who happens to be the High Commissioner of Australia recently met the Venkaiah Naidu, the Urban Development and Housing Minister and has declared that Australia has come up with all the important expertise so that new buildings, smart cities and networked buildings can be constructed. Waste management and urban regeneration shall also be taken care of. All of this shall be an eminent part of India’s urban developmental initiatives.
It was further mentioned by Suckling that bilateral trade which is being conducted between these two countries can be scaled up well. This is because coal, gas, nuclear energy and even the defence sector holds a lot of prospects.
The High Commissioner made other important statements as well. He made suggestions of visiting the fresh Indian parliamentarians to Australia apart from going through the prospects of sending which has been working with the parliamentarians of India so that the internship can be organized and gone through with the law makers of Australia.
Naidu, who valued these suggestions immensely, said that he would take this up seriously with the Presiding Officers with both houses of the Parliament.
