Farmhouse owners get extension
In a move that promises to provide a breather to farmhouse owners in the Capital, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to extend the date to regularise these till June next year. The farmhouse regularisation policy was notified last year and the deadline ends on September 20, 2014.
Only 45 farmhouses have been regularised in the last one-year. Sources in the DDA said it had been receiving requests from many farmhouse owners for extending the deadline and also for relaxing some of the stringent clauses in the regularisation policy.
The DDA vice-chairman Balvinder Kumar said that they are planning to extend the last date for regularisation of farmhouses to June 30, 2015. The present deadline ends on September 20 and they have sent a proposal to the Union urban development ministry for approval.
The policy that has been introduced by DDA has come as a matter of relief for the farm house owners especially as a fact that they will be getting an extension. The policy on the farm house ownerships however might go on with some changes.
