DLF known as the largest real estate builder in India, has planned to launch its own Fire brigade service to protect its properties. At present they are planning to set up the service only in Gurgaon and in Chennai.

Three fire stations will be set up in NCR city as they have properties almost in all parts of Gurgaon.

A higher official of DLF have said  that they will have 120 employees initially to serve the properties in Gurgaon.

The company took this decision to provide secure living space for its residents. This will be the first private fire stations in India that will cater to nearby areas also, along with the three complexes of DLF, in the case of need.

These fire stations will be located in the Cyber City and DLF Phase V in Gurgaon and the IT SEZ in Chennai. These stations are expected to be operational in the next two months. DLF will keep two fire tenders per station with the fire dossers having the capacity to carry 18 kiloliters of water per vehicle. This decision will enhance the market potential of the builder.
