Flats in Ghaziabad are sealed for violating building bylaws
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has sealed 170 flats at Ghaziabad under the Amrapali Village Apartments in Nyay Khand-II, Indirapuram for violating building bylaws.
The authority has found that the builder illegally constructing two towers with 68 and 102 flats inside its already existing Amrapali Village housing complex in Indirapuram.
An inspection team has found that Tower L with 17 floors, having 68 flats, and Tower K with 17 floors, having 102 flats being constructed illegally by the Amrapali group.
In the layout plan submitted with the GDA, the construction company had earmarked park and public utility in the designated spaces. However, constructing apartments in allocated spaces for public utility is considered as violation of the construction plan.
The builder has said that they will be making a fresh layout plan to be submitted before the GDA. The company has also said that they are ready to pay the compounding fees to start the work for the housing project.
The authority has been conducting a physical verification drive of buildings across the city. The maps submitted by the builders are being physically verified by several teams.
