Forum Group to Build Rs. 500 Crore Mall in Bhubaneswar

Forum Group, Kolkata based real estate giant and a well known name in the commercial and residential infrastructure sector has announced its plans to begin work on a shopping mall and office space in Bhubaneswar. The project titled ‘Esplanade by ‘Forum’ is likely to offer more than 2.5 Lakh square feet to office space, 4 Lakhs square feet of shopping mall as well as an eight screen multiplex. Vidyut Saraf the deputy managing director of Forum Group, speaking to reporters while announcing the starting phase on the project revealed that the project would have parking space for over 1000 vehicles.

The Rs. 500 crore shopping mall project in Bhubaneswar is going to place the city at par with some of the pother significant real estate landmarks in the country. The facade of the project is inspired by Odisha’s famous weave pattern and will use innovative materials and design. The project will be executed by Leighton Group from Australia, one of the world’s biggest contractors as per their collaboration with the Future Group.

Future Group is not new in investing in the neighboring state of Odisha from West Bengal where the group is headquartered. Future Group has in the past has invested in various projects in Odisha including UAL which is ranked as the state’s largest fiber cement sheet producers. Another company of the Future Group seeking investment in Odisha is SAPL which is currently is in the process of setting up of an Rs 2000 crore Titanium venture near Chhatrapur in Ganjam district of the state.
