Frightened flat owners left on their own to clear the garbage
The newly invented plan by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara PalikeĀ (BBMP) to clear the garbage will be implemented from October 1. Owing to this, the flat owners of Sovereign Park apartments in Basavangudi are panic stricken as the BBMP has issued a notification to put residential high-rises on par with commercial entities.
This notification grouped them all under the bulk generator category making it obligatory for them to manage waste.
The residents were distressed when they read these norms in the newspapers without being guided by the BBMP to execute the plan. They feel that the BBMP is not being practical and also the deadline given is impractical.
It was also told by the apartment residents that there wasn’t even a modicum of consultation with apartment residents before the notification was issued.
