Garbage dumping is a concern in Kerala

The government of Kerala is not able to manage the concern regarding the waste management. This inability leads to an agility between the state police and protesters.

A group of people including women and children blocked the traffic on National Highway 17 to protest against the waste dumping in their village.

Police lathi charged to clear the traffic. Almost 16 people were injured in that and 50 persons were arrested including women and children.

This is happening because garbage from all cities and big towns of Kerala are being dumped in the villages of Thalassery and Pettippalam.
