Gated Communities craving for its existence
The regulations towards the maintenance of the city roads and gardens are still under floating decisions. The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) are neither concerned about the explanations of the gated communities. R K Misra an urban expert reported saying that BDA informed to the citizens that there is no such term in practice called “Gated Communities” and also this concept is under the of approved layouts of BDA.
BDA is seemed to be forcing the builders over the mandatory construction of gardens and parks and once plans are foundationed the parks taken off. The city municipality should be responsible for the maintenance of the public gardens and parks and collect the tax in same concern. However BMRDA has completely different allegations towards the concept of gated communities, it stated that the layout owner will be held responsible for the maintenance of roads and park layouts until the local bodies in Bangalore takes over the authorities over these community concepts.
