GNIDA completes feasibility report for Greater Noida to IGI Airport Metro link
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has completed the feasibility report for the ‘Greater Noida to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport’ Metro link; and it is apparent that the efforts to connect the 66-km route via high-speed Metro link are on a fast track.
The completion of the feasibility report by the GNIDA implies that final touches are now being given to the detailed project report of the Greater Noida to IGI Metro link.
Going by the information shared by the officials of GNIDA, the feasibility report for the Greater Noida to IGI Metro link was finalized at a recent meeting.
When the proposed Metro link becomes operational, the travelling distance Noida and Greater Noida to the IGI Airport will be nearly 50 minutes, even during peak traffic hours.
Unidentified sources close to the Greater Noida to IGI Metro link have disclosed that the Metro link will likely run at 160 km per hour; and, across its 66-km stretch, there will be only five or six stations. The proposed Metro link stations will probably be located at Bodaki, Pari Chowk, Faridabad, Gurgaon, and IGI Airport.
Furthermore, it has also been revealed by the sources that the proposed Greater Noida to IGI high-speed Metro link will apparently run parallel to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor; and will join the proposed Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad route.
