Golf Course Road commuters to bear development brunt

No Comments Sub Category:Cities,Gurgaon,Metro,Realty News Posted On: Apr 07, 2013

The proposed Metro expansion at Huda-DLF sector road from Cyber City to the Sector 55/56 junction will bring more glaze to the Golf Course Road. But commuters will suffer until it gets ready for use and it is expected to be completed by September next year.

The Huda-DLF sector road is ready for operation whereas, the second phase of the Rapid Metro is expected to commence by this month end. The deadline of the project is July 2015.

The project of road and rail infrastructure will involve around 8.3 kms for the construction. And it is already assumed that the traffic will be affected adversely for the construction process in the area of Golf Course Road. As it is a very important link road in Gurgaon and around lakhs of people commute through this way.

Another main reason for the crowd in the area is because of the numerous residential complexes along with high-class condominiums of DLF City of Phase 4 and 5. Also several commercial complexes of multi-national companies and more than six malls in the surrounding areas of the project.

Even the Golf Course Road is counted to be the only way for the Mall Mile, at Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road and the expressway, hence some of the locales will be facing problem here as well.

Already users are facing problem in existing conditions at the diversions of Sector 27/28 and Sector 42/27, so in the recent future it is anticipated to be messier in the area and the project will be responsible as the reason. These areas are also accompanied by Sikandarpur Chowk and Genpact crossing.

Until the massive project gets over, the travellers are expecting that the concerned authorities will make an alternate way or the diversions. Although there is no such roads available parallel to Golf Course road, it seems to be affecting the commuters adversely.

Rashmi Sood of DLF city feels the authorities could have commenced with one project after completion of another.
