Google India aims to stimulate the minds of their employees by providing a fun filled environment. This culture of google is similar to the company’s work spaces around the world. They have come up with a similar facility in their new offices in Gurgaon and the employees can’t wait more to enter into these premises.

The reception is inspired by the Taj Mahal, however the tech savvy company did not want to keep it plain white. It is white but the colour keeps changing according to the time of the day. Inside there’s a railway coach that can be used as an informal meeting area.

They want their employees to be fit and hence come up with a mini golf course, a gym and a small cricket pitch. Recreation takes a new level with swings, grazing greens complete with sheep and napping pods. They want their tired workforce to relax after a hard day’s work and hence have come up with massage and sauna rooms. There is lots of food at the micro kitchens.

A company spokesperson stated that the office itself wears a warehouse look, which is a throwback to the beginnings of Google in a garage in Menlo Park, California. Google did not confirm the details.

More than half of India’s population is under 24 today. The median age is around 27 and by 2020, India will have 28 % of the world’s workforce. This data was published by Ernst and Young and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Anshul Jain the country chief executive at real estate consultancy and facilities management provider DTZ stated that the younger folks just want a place to go, be fluid, and sit near each other. This increases their productivity too. The idea that I need an office or an assigned station is passé.
