Government Banned Mayfield Garden Project
The Haryana government has imposed an embargo on the developers of Mayfield Garden project after a series of complaints lodged by resident groups which said the colonies falling under the project in sectors 47, 50, 51, 52 and 57 have not been set up according to the approved plan and the agreement between builders and the Town and Country Planning department.
According to the Mayfield Garden Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA), the government action came after a complaint was lodged with the Residents’ Welfare Association.
People have been advised not to buy or enter into any contract regarding unsold properties of the licensed land till the government dues are cleared and colonies are laid down as per approved plans, a spokesperson of the town and country planning department said on Thursday.
In May, the town and country planning department had imposed a similar restriction on the developers of Ardee City township against sale and purchase of its unsold properties spread across 210 acres of land.
The government has initiated action against the developers after a complaint was filed against the director general of the town and country planning department with the Lokayukta, said Dharambir Yadav, president of Mayfield Garden RWA. “The department has not been acting against developers for the last four years despite a number of violations pertaining to the licencing conditions and service estimate approved in the development licences,” he added. This is the second such embargo on property dealing in the city in the last two months.
