Government is Encouraging High Rise Apartments in Surat

The Surat Urban Development Authority has planned to increase the floor space index (FSI) on both sides of the Ring Road.

This new idea will encourage the real estate developments in the areas by the ring road as SUDA has reserved 500 meters on both sides of the road for town planning schemes.

In the entire 66 km ring road, 37 km road is already completed and the remaining 29 km will be developed very soon.

The government will acquire land by the sides of the ring road and the FSI of the apartments in Surat will be increased to 3. That will help the builders to construct 70 storey apartments in Surat.

At present the FSI in the city is 1.80 and can go up to 2.25 by paying premium.

According to an official of the planning commission this decision will give an opportunity to the developers to build more homes on both the sides of the outer Ring Road and city will have skyscrapers in future.
