Government particular about buildings

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Aug 21, 2014

The local self-government department (LSGD) here has directed all local bodies to maintain a register on constructions that violate building norms. The move is expected to curb the illegal construction activities within the limits of the local self-government bodies. The team of officials from the vigilance wing of LSGD had conducted site inspection across the state last year and had submitted a report on instances violating the Kerala Municipality Building Rules. They had recommended action against 13 buildings.

The illegal buildings that have been constructed are being kept on notices. The government has become very particular about the buildings which are being constructed on illegal terms. Some often violate rules and regulations on plans and others simply do not follow the structure that has to be built accordingly.

Many buildings also require proper environmental clearances which are often not taken properly. The government follow a drive mark these buildings and follow the procedure required in getting these buildings down. Probably all the state governments will  be taking up these remedies so that people become more stern while construction of buildings to avoid further problems.
