Government set up special committee to provide a report on violations caused by DLF
While construction of a flat complex at the Chilavanoor river bank DLF realtors had cause a violation under the Coastal Regulation Zone Act. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy told that they would take further actions on the alleged violation by DLF realtors after they get the report from the expert committee that has been set up to prove the charges. The committee has already delayed in providing the report of the alleged violation made by DLF realtors during the construction period of the complex.
Replying to a point of order regarding the issues that has been raised by the opposition leader V S Achuthanandan during the state assembly, Chandy stated that the three member committee could not finish the report as one of the committee member was out of station. The present environment minister, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan stated that the committee was asked to visit the site on the 21st of July and that the report will be made available on the 22nd of July.
The opposition minister, V S Achuthanandan also wanted to know from the government that what action it will take regarding the violations that have been allegedly made by DLF during the construction process of the complex.
