Green water consumed by Rajagopalnagar residents!

Supply of contaminated water is a big issue nowadays in apartments in Bangalore.

Rajagopalnagar situated in II?Stage of Peenya Industrial Area is witnessing supply of contaminated water with effects of chromium in it.

The water that has been coming from the borewells will be green in colour and residents have no other option but to use it.

Tanker water is only used for drinking and cooking purpose and it is inaffordable for some of them. Borewell water is used for other non domestic purpose.

After working on the water samples, it was revealed that it had traces of chromium which is very toxic and carry carcinogens.

It was also suggested that activated carbon can used for treatment of contaminated water which can remove 95 per cent of the contamination.
