Ground floor of Nariman Point to be established as eating joint
Air India has recently has recently opened up its entire headquarters at Nariman Point so that it could be used as restaurants as well as eating joints. This shall be considered by the airline which is currently debt-ridden to monetize all the assets it possesses.
Within a three year period, plans are being made by Air India to invest around a 1000 square feet in order to establish an eatery joint. Ashutosh Limaye, Head Research and RES Jones Lang LaSalle India, has recently mentioned that the ground floor shall be given for the purpose of establishing eating joints and dining restaurants. But all of this will depend upon the format.
In the year 2013, Air India had already launched four floors located in the building of State Bank of India. There was a small section of the ground floor which was given to the Bharatiya Mahila Bank. Not only were banks involved here, Tata Commuincation Services were also a part of it. They took up the 11th floor of the building. This one gives you the overview of Marine Drive located right in front.
According to one of the Air India Officials, the airline has been going through a tough time trying to monetize the domestic as well as the international assets.
