Gulbarga City Corporation bear upon Manpower Crisis
Gulbarga is facing severe backdrop in the overall city development and the reason for this is lack of sufficient manpower in Gulbarga City Corporation (GCC). The GCC has been divided into four zones wherein each zone has been facing severe shortage of manpower and has also hit solid waste management in the city. Bheemreddy the member of health committee reported saying that the Gulbarga corporation has taken initiative of several appeals with the urban development minister in concern with providing sufficient manpower.
Also one of the senior citizen Veeranna Kamble reported saying that the Gulbarga corporation is not bothered about the improper maintenance of sanitation works, solid waste management. The citizens are pointing out at one issue, the lack of manpower which is leading to lack of basic facilities ultimately resulting in untidy maintenance of the city. The statistics has proved that since 1994 nearly 40 per cent of the employees have retired from GCC and there is no recruitment growth seen till date.
