Guwahati hit with water crisis
As the summer has set in, Guwahati has been hit with issue of water shortage in the city.
Areas which have suffered the most are Ulubari, Bharalumukh, Rupnagar, Rehabari, Boragaon and Jalukbari where residents complain of standing in long queues for water, some get muddy water, etc.
Residents allege that now is the time for Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) to take action but the civic body is least interested.
This is because Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has taken charge of water supply projects in the city.
