Haryana govt hikes licence fee for housing projects
On Tuesday, the Haryana government debated on a proposal to increase licence fee for housing projects. The proposal is to hike the licence fee by 100 percent for group housing projects; with the additional amount raised from developers to be eventually passed on to the buyers.
Under the proposal, the ‘per acre’ licence fee for residential plots in hyper potential zone has been fixed at Rs 12.5 lakh,; while high-II potential zone, the licence fee has been fixed at Rs 9.5 lakh. For medium and low potential zone, the licence fee has been fixed at Rs 6.25 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh respectively.
Similarly, in case of group housing schemes, the ‘per acre’ licence fee for hyper potential zone and high-II potential zone has been fixed at Rs 40 lakh and Rs 19 lakh respectively; while the fee for medium potential zone has been fixed at Rs 9.5 lakh, and that for low potential zone has been fixed at Rs 2.5 lakh.
Going by the details shared by a town and country planning department official, the ‘hyper potential zone’ areas are those areas which fall under are the region that forms part of the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex development plan.
The high-I potential zone areas are those areas which form part of development plan of Faridabad-Ballabhgarh Complex, Gwal Pahari, Pinjore-Kalka Complex, and periphery-controlled area of Panchkula — all for commercial use only.
