Haryana to go for land pool scheme
The pool of ministers in Haryana is soon to introduce a land pool scheme for land acquired by state agencies. The new move comes in the wake of complaints raised by the landowners of receiving inadequate compensation by the government
As per the new initiative from government the landowner whose land is acquired for the development of a residential sector can seek compensation in the form of developed plots from the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). The landowner can also accept monetary compensation under provision of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
The proposed policy declares that landowners who go for developed sites/plots in lieu of reimbursement will have to give their consent within four months of notification and enter into a contract within the next two months.
The allotment of plots will be of standard size as per HUDA and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) norms.
