HC asked to remove trespasses on Tiruvannamalai hill

The Madras High Court has directed the State government to take immediate action to remove trespasses on the Tiruvannamalai hill.

The order was given for a petition filed against theĀ  illegal encroachments and land grabbing activity on the hill.

Several lodges were constructed on the hill in the name of the temple. And to construct properties on the hill, the builders had used explosive material for blasting and breaking the rocks.

In the order the HC said that it is high time that the officers of the State Government should take immediate steps for removal of encroachments.
