Helipad station for medical emergency
Overall in Mumbai, whenever accidents happen, the sufferings are more due to lack of facilities. Means, hospital authorities are finding extremely difficulty in moving injured people from the accident spot to the nearby hospitals. This often created more complication to treat the injured persons. Many times, they die also before reaching hospital due to time consuming. After so many calculations, Government decided to construct helipad stations to move them quickly. But it is cost oriented. Hence Government is not willing to spend huge money for this. This is mainly due to acquire land to construct helipad stations. But the task is not easy for them as many private people not willing to give up their lands. Hence, the planning Authority and regional development authorities are silent on this matter.
Firm Stand by Court
But the Court is not willing to accept this easily and directed to constructed helipad stations without further delay. The alternative way Government suggesting is that they can make use of playgrounds, recreation grounds, Stadium; Educational Institutions’ play grounds, near to railway stations. There are 14 places identified so far. As the High Court is very serious about this, and asked explanation from the Mumbai Administration, Government has provided explanation on this subject and further informed that this will be moved in the Cabinet shortly and take the proper approval for this.
Orientation Program by People
As this is people oriented program, there will be no delay in getting the approval. The next step is to convert the places, which are identified, into helipad stations. If the construction of permanent stations not possible immediately then temporary use of these places as helipad will be considered. In such cases, alternatively other solution will also emerge.
Solution is nearby
Overall, the need of such helipad stations well accepted and the work will get started once the approval from Cabinet is available. As this is a priority for the public, all effort is being taken to get this done at the most earliest as the statement given by the Government to the High Court. Court has directed this to the Government due to one PIL on the issues which are related to the railways.
