HMDA master plan gets delayed
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) had released the draft master plan for the extended area of Hyderabad Metropolitan Region on July 22, 2011. Then they invited objections and suggestions on the draft master plan from citizens.
A year has gone by, and the authority has not even finalized the applications which have to be considered for rectification in the draft plan. Most suggestions coming from residents were regarding land use alteration from agriculture or conservation to residential.
According to HMDA master consultant, finalization of objections and propositions is getting delayed as each and every application is being examined through field verification and with the help of satellite maps.
