Homebuyers threaten to protest on being cheated
Around 400 homebuyers had been cheated of an amount of Rs 12 crore by a builder. The 400 homebuyers, who had been cheated of the amount by the builder, on Monday, threatened of staging a protest at the Greater Noida authority office if their booking amount was not refunded.
Last Monday the Hindustan Times Head reported that the builder, Sunil Kumar Rajput, managing director of New Rajnigandha Greens, had launched an Rs 500-crore luxurious housing project in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West) Sector 1 in 2011. Many bookings had been accepted which result to a total amount of Rs 12 crore.
But it is weird that no ground work has commenced since three years. The homebuyers have been enraged with the thought that they might have been cheated of their booking amount. The Greater Noida authority will face problem if any protest is staged. However the matter should be handled seriously and actions must be taken against the builder who has cheated the people. Three years and no ground work without any problem is a very weird case in terms of construction work which generally commences soon after the flats get booked.
