House owners should pay for house renovation!
In Mumbai, a verdict was passed in the city civil court regarding tenants fighting for landlady regarding the building’s renovation and repair.
It is the house owner who stands responsible to spend for house renovation.
Similar case was booked by the tenants of Shubadra Mansion at Walkeshwar.
Wherein, the tenants blamed mishap on an illegal swimming pool on the hillock. Here a landslide was observed by the residents which paved way to damaging three apartments in Mumbai in and around this locality.
In conclusion to this legal dispute the court further declared saying that any such cost of renovation should be recovered either from the landlady or the State housing body (MHADA).
The landlay seeking a stay order approached the High Court. However, the High Court failing to incline the stay order has asked the tenants to submit a building repair plan to the civic body.
