House prices a nightmare to EWS population!

The concept of providing a housing for more than 30,000 Economically Weaker Section (EWS)?families has finally come into action.

Recently, Chief Minister D?V Sadananada Gowda inaugurated Economically Weaker Section (EWS)?quarters at Nandini Layout in Bangalore.

All is not fine, indeed! Even after this launch, purchasing an affordable housing has turned situations of dream into a nightmare.

Why? Again, the houses priced is nowhere affordable for the EWS population.

According to Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), 250 sqft house will be priced around Rs 3.25 lakh followed up by premium and luxury housing.

Meanwhile, the houses inaugurated recently is priced Rs 1,200 per sqft due to high cost of steel and construction materials.
