House renting scheme to be applied on vacant plots by BMC

BMCMumbai- The recent proposal by the BMC is expected to be quite beneficial to those who are planning to buy a property in Mumbai.  The civic body in the city is planning to launch its own housing scheme in the vacant plots.

As per BMCs plan, they are planning to construct houses on the vacant plots and rent them for various purposes. According to the standing committee chairman, the civic body owns various vacant plots which have been encroached upon due to the absence of any sort of development.

Owing to this, these plots will be used for a housing scheme as per the Mhada lines. Also with the units being given on rent, it will also help in reducing the rising property prices. Apart from this, a study group will also be formed in order to initiate ways to implement this scheme. Based on this, the units will be constructed.

However, there are various other civic corporations who have implemented this concept for the construction of houses and renting them out. Not just this, the civic bodies have also initiated museums in the memory of the deceased, a gymkhana and others are some of the  latest concepts  for the annual budget 2013-2014.
