Housing work in Chandigarh gains speed
Starting the construction of 388 flats in one of the blocks of the Sector 63 General Housing Scheme of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has been gaining speed; this has been sighted as a ray of hope especially for the people who have applied for a flat. It would be really a matter of relief for these applicants if the early completion of flats takes place.
The process of completion of 2,108 flats had been delayed previously .The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has already missed the different deadlines for the completion of the Sector 63 General Housing Scheme. Hopefully the announcement of gaining of speed for these flats will help the people who had applied for the flats.
However the construction of one- bedroom, two-bed room and three-bed room flats had been nearly completed, the works relating to the laying of pipelines and power cables and other basic amenities was still pending. Post these works the flats will be made ready for the applicants. It has still not been announced as by when the work will end however the applicants are expecting that the work might end by this year.
