HSIIDC to hire consultant to study KMP project
The industrial authority soon needs to hire a private consultant to work on a viability report of the project that has virtually hit a dead end after having missed multiple deadlines, on which the future of KMP expressway depends.
Four consulting firms have recently submitted their proposals to the HSIIDC who were willing to take up this study. The firm which is hired to conduct the study will not only go through the matters but also look into the legal nitty-gritties of the contract agreement that the HSIIDC signed with the present concessionaire.
It explains that there is a probability of the ‘substitution clauses’ of the contract being invoked, which may result in scrapping of the current contract. According to the officials, there is possibility that the report will look into the ‘technical, commercial and legal due diligence of the different options accessible for the completion and execution of the KMP project’.
Although, for the moment, the HSIIDC officials are not agreeing to consider on possible measures that will decide the future course of the KMP e-way project.
