Hyderabad metro corridor to see realty boom
Hyderabad-In a recent developmental report in the city of Hyderabad, project developer L&T has decided to develop in six million square feet in the next 5-6 years. The project will include shopping malls, multiplexes, office space and retail chains spread over 18.5 million square feet.
The project planning has been done in order to make the metro financially viable and the project will spread along the 72-km Hyderabad Metro Rail corridors.
L&T also has plans to execute Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) along the metro rail routes alongside the depots at Nagole, Miyapur and Falaknuma. However, the company is paying attention on the real estate development which can generate some capital for the metro as the government has set a minimum metro rail ticket fee.
A sum of Rs. 2,243 crore has been set by L&T for realty development alone as part of TOD apart from Rs. 14,132 crore on the metro rail project.
